Ingredients:

3 tbsp sunflower oil
225g paneer, cut into 2cm (4/5 inch) cubes
A pinch of salt
2 finger green chillies, slit lengthways
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 tsp white or demerera (brown) sugar
ΒΌ tsp ground black pepper
100ml pale ale
1 tbsp tomato ketchup
1 tbsp dark soy sauce
1 tbsp hot chilli sauce
1 medium onion, finely sliced into rings

Preparation:

Heat the oil in a frying pan and lightly fry the paneer cubes for 5 minutes until golden. In a bowl, mix the salt, chillies, garlic, sugar, black pepper, pale ale, tomato ketchup, soy and chilli sauce.
Add the mixture to the pan and gently fry for a couple of minutes until the sauce thickens.
Serve hot with onion rings.
