Watchdog, the BBC consumer programme, has found that a number of well known household snacks and treats have shrunk slightly in size, even though the price they are sold for at supermarkets have not done so.

 

It found that Fry's Chocolate Cream, a multipack of the chocolate made by Cadbury, has shrunk from 200g for four bars in total to 196g. KP salt and vinegar flavour peanuts have fallen in size from 200g to 180g. And Robinsons has reduced the size of its orange & barley water from a one litre bottle to a bottle that contains just 850ml. In all these cases, the price of the product did not fall.
